CCM Launches 2009 Product Line At Minnesota Let’s Play Hockey Expo KIDS GET TO TEST NEW PRODUCT IN CCM BOOTH FOR A CHANCE TO WIN! Montreal, Quebec, Canada, March 18, 2009 — CCM launched its 2009 product line this past week-end at the Let’s Play Hockey Expo in St. Paul, MN. The largest of its kind, the Let’s Play Hockey Expo saw more than 30,000 kids and parents passing through, all in attendance were able to see the latest and greatest in the hockey world. Held during the Minnesota State High School Tournament, the show sees some of the best future NHL prospects. CCM used this opportunity to launch its 2009 product line, allowing players to test the product for a chance to win it. The products featured at the show included the new U+ Pro Reloaded skate, U+ CL Stick, Octo Gun 50 stick and Vector and 4R glove lines. To get a feel for the new U+ Pro skate, players laced them up and tried their chances on the skate ramp, where best times in each age category won a pair of U+ Skates. Over 1000 kids were outfitted in the U+ Pro skate during the duration of the 2-day expo and more than 600 tried the ramp. To test the sticks and try the gloves, players could practice their stickhandling and passing in the interactive zones. 2009 CCM Product Line: U+ Pro Reloaded Skate: The U+ Pro skate is powered by U Foam, which molds perfectly to each individual foot during the heating process making it the only skate to offer true fit customization. It also features a VECTORARMOUR shield on the quarter package for improved durability, additional padding for improved out-of-box comfort and a better heel lock and a pro style felt tongue for added protection and comfort. In 2009, CCM extended the U+ technology down to two more price points with the U+09 and U+07 models. U+ CL Stick: The U+ CL is built from the inside out with no blade insertion. Instead, the blade is molded over both sides of the shaft, making it a true one-piece stick. The use of super light carbon fibers in the shaft reduces the weight to 405 grams! This Crazy Light stick offers more feel, better balance, quicker reaction time and super fast shots, resulting in more goals. The U+ CL has a matt texture grip and will be available in the Ovechkin, Lecavalier, Thornton, Tavares and Steen curves. Octo Gun 50 Stick: The first 36” of the shaft feature a traditional geometry. The lower part of the stick has a 24” 8-sided Octo Gun power taper. This shape allows for improved vertical stiffness, thus resulting in a faster shot, as well as better accuracy and more stability. The Octo Gun 50 is available in spray grip or clear grip and in the following curves: Ovechkin, Lecavalier, Thornton, Tavares and Steen. Vector Gloves: The CCM Vector glove is built to withstand slap shots and slashes while hugging your hand for a perfect fit. The 3-piece thumb offers molded protection that articulates on a two angled axis to map the thumb’s natural curve around a stick. A Pro suggested tapering at the sides of the glove provides a fit that hugs your hand. An extended flexible cuff moves with your wrist while protecting from slashes. The V10 Gloves are available in 8 different color offerings and the full line also features the V08, V06 and V04 models. 4R Gloves: The CCM 4R Pro has a redesigned 4 roll backhand with CCM ethafoam blocks and PE inserts. It also includes a leather palm with nash reinforcement, CCM pro quality comfort liner with anti-microbial treatment and NHL nylon. It is offered in 6 colors and in SR/JR sizing. The 4R Pro glove also extends down to the 4R model at a lower price point. All of these CCM products will be available in stores in mid-May.
