CCM Signs Tyler Myers to Endorsement Partnership
Stand-out rookie defenseman laces up agreement to be outfitted in CCM equipment and apparel
MONTREAL - June 24th, 2010 – CCM Hockey announced that it has signed National Hockey League rookie defenseman Tyler Myers to a multi-year partnership agreement. Myers, a 20-year-old Texas native, who grew up in Calgary, had an outstanding rookie campaign with the Sabres and now joins CCM’s all-star roster, which includes Alexander Ovechkin, John Tavares, Vincent Lecavalier and Joe Thornton.
Myers’ rookie campaign was recognized with him being awarded the Calder Memorial Trophy as the NHL Rookie of the Year. Playing veteran level minutes, Myers stepped right into his role leading the Sabres’ defense with 48 points and finishing 5th overall in team scoring. At 6’8” and 222 pounds, Myers possesses the rare combination of size and exceptional skating ability, covering a lot of ice and making it especially difficult for his opponents.

As a member of CCM's advisory staff, Myers will have input in the design and performance of the products he will wear and will play a key role in all future marketing initiatives related to new product launches. “I’m looking forward to working with the product team at CCM and having input on the equipment that I will be using everyday,” said Myers. “To be involved with the brand and the product at this level is truly exciting.”
Myers will hit the ice for the 2010-2011 NHL season with the latest innovative products from CCM including the U+ CL skates and stick in addition to the V10 Helmet, gloves and pants.
